يتناول العرض بشيء من التفصيل العلاقة الجدلية بين الهوية واللغة والثقافة في سياقاتها التعليمية في مرحلة ما بعد الحداثة، بتركيز على الحالة الأردنية. يبدأ بوصف أهم التحولات الجذرية في الفكر الإنساني التي طرأت نتيجة لدخول البشرية هذه المرحلة المهمة التي بدأت في النصف الثاني من القرن العشرين ووصلت ذروتها في ثمانينيات وتسعينيات القرن، وما زلنا تحت تأثيرها. ومن أهم ملامحها رفض أنماط التفكير التقليدي والأحادي والسلطوي والإقصائي والإعلاء من شأن التعددية والتنوع والتداخل والمرونة والانفتاح، ثم يتطرق إلى انعكاساتها على العديد من العناصر المهمة في حياتنا، وعلى رأسها مفاهيم وبنى الهوية واللغة والثقافة، والتي أصبح يُشار إليها بصيغة الجمع لا المفرد، والتمايز لا التطابق أو التضاد. يُسلط العرض الضوء على الأدبيات التربوية المتعلقة برؤية التعليم المدرسي والجامعي ورسالته وفلسفته وبعض تشريعاته الناظمة فاحصاً إياها في إطار المستجدات والمتغيرات الحداثية هذه، ثم ينتقل للحديث عن جدلية الأبعاد والنماذج المتصلة بالهوية التي يتوقع أن يمتلكها الطلبة والثقافة التي يتفاعلون معها أو ينتمون إليها واللغة التي يستخدمونها للتعبير عن ذواتهم ومجتمعاتهم وتنفيذ المهام المتوقع قيامهم بها.يناقش العرض العديد من الممارسات كما هي على أرض الواقع في قطاعي التعليم والتعليم العالي وما يجب أن تكون عليه، ثم يخلص إلى عدد من التوصيات الهادفة إلى تَحقّق منظومات تعليمية/تعلّميّة ديناميكية منبثقة عن رؤى عصرية حداثية، وأساليب تعلّم تفاعلية مرنة وأسس تَخاطُب منسجمة مع التحولات والتغيرات والتداخلات التي يتسم بها عالم اليوم

This presentation addresses in some detail the dialectic relationship between identity, language and culture in their educational contexts in the postmodernism era with a focus on the Jordanian case. It begins by describing the most important radical changes to human thought that occurred as a result of humanity entering this important stage of its existence. The postmodernism era began during the second half of the twentieth century and reached its peak in the eighties and the nineties. We are all still under the effect of this era which is mainly characterized by its rejection of traditional, unilateral, authoritative and exclusionary patterns of thought and its promotion of diversity, variety, integration, flexibility and openness. The presentation then explores the reflection of such values on many important elements of our lives, first and foremost the concepts and structures of our identity, language and culture, which are now referred to in the collective, not the individual sense and in the different not the matching or contrasting senses. The presentation sheds light on educational literatures related to school and university educational visions, missions, philosophies and regulating legislations. It examines these literatures in the context of modernistic developments and variables. It then moves on to talk about the dialectics of dimensions and models related to students’ identities and which students are expected to acquire, the culture students interact with or belong to, and the language students use to express themselves and their communities or to implement certain tasks they are expected to carry out. The presentation also discusses many practices as they are on the ground on both the school education and higher education levels and what they should be like. Finally, it concludes with a number of recommendations aiming at creating dynamic teaching/ learning systems that result from modernistic up-to-date visions and at providing flexible interactive learning methods and bases for discourse that conform with the transformations, changes and interventions of our current times.
