-know the connection between language, literacy, and play
-understand the teacher’s role, how to plan, and create playful and literacy-rich environments
-apply their knowledge to design play-based literacy and language activities
-share, analyze and evaluate their design with others
-come away with strategies and techniques they can implement, no matter the grade level or unit taught
