We live in a very connected world. This connected world needs future citizens that can respect and appreciate differences, while maintaining their own points of views. This can be established by starting the conversation in our classes. From topics ranging from poverty to the formation of identity, students can have structured discussion in their second language, that based around themes of empathy, communication, understanding and global citizenship.

By the end of this workshop participants will be able to:
- Understand how the development of a second language can help discussion in class from a different point of view
- Understand how to structure units focused on dialogue and discussion
- Look at ways we can bring the outside world into our classes
