Behavior 101: Understanding & Responding to Behaviors In Your Classroom

This session will cover a review of understanding behaviors, why behaviors occur, and practical strategies on how to respond to behaviors of concern in your classroom. The session will help participants understand the intensity of the behaviors, function of behaviors, and how to track data in order to change behaviors in your classroom. The second portion of this workshop will cover how to create a basic behavior intervention plan and review positive behavioral strategies to use.

By the end of this workshop participants will be able to:
- Construct an understanding of behaviors
- Review how to take data to understand the reasons a behavior may occur
- Learn positive strategies to decrease behaviors of concern
