Saturday, March 7 • 1:20pm - 2:20pm
Engaging with Poetry and Revision Through Images

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Participants will engage with poetry beyond the words on the page. They will analyze poetry through photos that represent the emotion and tone of the poem. Participants will apply their new knowledge of creative analysis to their revision process by both writing and revising poems using photos. Participants will walk away with a more intimate understanding of how art begets art.

By the end of this workshop participants will be able to:
- Teach analysis through creativity
- Engage students with divergent thinking strategies to revise poetry
- Provide multiple entry points for students to interpret poetry
