We are all aware of the giants of child development theories: Piaget, Vygotsky but sometimes the theories stay as just that and mean little in terms of learning and teaching in the classroom. In this presentation, Kim will explore through practical examples how teachers can use understanding of the theories to enhance their students learning in the classroom.

By the end of this workshop participants will be able to:
- Understand how theories about children’s development should inform our teaching
- Recognise the importance of recognising children’s natural creativity
- Explore ways of putting these theories into practice
