Without safety, students cannot learn. This session will address how educators can prevent student on student abuse and respond to it effectively when it occurs. Presentation is based on research informed by student voice and latest model practice in child protection.

By the end of this workshop participants will be able to:
- Identify forms of peer abuse, signs and indicators
- Classify behaviors in order to respond appropriately
- Understand the contextual response to abuse prevention and response
- Identify tools and resources to support school’s duty of care, including activation of student voice
